Sur son site officiel, James Marsters affirme que pour son entraînement pour le film, il ne boit que de l'eau (je vous l'avais dit qu'il n'y avait rien d'excitant).
"Pie and cake: I don’t eat pie or cake, stop asking me about food. I’m in training for “Dragon Ball” food is bad! Water is good!"
Tartes et gâteaux: je ne mange ni tartes ni gâteaux, arrêtez de me parler de nourriture. Je m'entraîne pour "Dragon Ball", la nourriture c'est mal. L'eau c'est bon!
D'après un site de fans, Chow Yun Fat aurait parlé de son rôle dans Dragon Ball, mais on ne sait pas où ni quand. Honnêtement, pour l'avoir parcourue un peu, cette source ne me semble que moyennement fiable...
"Yesterday Fat Gor has confirmed that 20th Century Fox executives have contacted him. He expressed that DRAGONBALL was a great opportunity and honestly said that he has never played a Japanese manga character. He has only heard about DRAGONBALL many times but has not made any in depth study. After the film company contacted him, he started to read the manga and felt that the role had a lot of possibilities. Although he was not the lead in the manga, he did not mind as long as the role had potential. Fat Gor honestly said that after several decades of acting, now he would only accept roles with room to demonstrate his abilities. After confirmation next January he would head to Mexico for location shoots and stay until mid March. Fat Gor expressed that no matter how busy he was in the past he would return home for the Lunar New Year. If the production was confirmed this year he might not be able to spend the Lunar New Year with his mother."
Hier (l'article date du 20 décembre) Fat a confirmé que la Fox l'a contacté. Il a dit que Dragonball était une grande opportunité et a dit honnêtement qu'il n'avait jamais joué un personnage de manga japonais. Il a seulement entendu parlé de Dragonball plusieurs fois mais n'a pas fait de recherches plus appronfondies. Après que la Fox l'ait contacté, il a commencé à lire le manga et sent que le rôle a un grand potentiel. Fat a dit qu'honnêtement après des années de tournage, maintenant il n'allait plus accepter que les rôles qui permettent de démontrer ses talents. Après confirmation en janvier prochain il se rendra au Mexique pour des prises de vues et y restera jusqu'à mi-mars. Fat a dit que pu importe à quel point il était occupé dans le passé, il voulait rentrer pour la nouvelle année lunaire. Si la production était confirmée cette année il ne sera pas possible pour lui de passer la nouvelle année avec sa mère.
